Test # 1 Tuesday P2: "Time"
One of the things Rube Goldberg machines do is to make a simple task complex. One way to measure this is to see what amount of time it takes for the machine to run to completion.
Your team will be given three trials with your machine. For each attempt, the total time it takes your machine to complete in seconds will be recorded. If your machine does not complete successfully, you will earn zero points. The team with the best time (from any trail) will earn 1st place!
TEST 1 POINTS
1st place = 100 points
2nd place = 96 points
3rd place = 92 points
4th place = 88 points
...and so on... (= x - 4 points)

Test # 2 Thursday P2 : "Consistency"
For a Rube Goldberg machine, especially one made up of 34 teams, it is super important to be consistent. Your machine needs to be well engineered and built so that it runs to completion every time.
Your team will be given five trials with your machine. Each time your machine runs all the way through from start to finish, you score a “completion”. After five trials the number of completions is added together.
TEST 2 POINTS
5 completions = 200 points
4 completions = 160 points
3 completions = 120 points
2 completions = 80 points
1 completion = 40 points
